Fernanda Ghi and Guillermo Merlo are one of the most prominent couples in the world of Argentine Tango. Renowned for their style, interpretation, choreography, command of the stage and clear teaching technique, they have taught and performed in prestigious tango festivals throughout the world, received awards in the World Argentine Tango Championship and a Tony Award for Best Choreography for “Forever Tango” in 1997 and 1998. Their Tango Show, “Identidad” takes us on a journey through the emotional rollercoaster that is called Argentine Tango. http://www.thisistangonow.com/identidad/
Fernanda and Guillermo are committed to helping produce a high standard of dance and promoting Argentine Tango as an art form, and they have established their professional tango school and studio, Artango, in Boston. Their teaching focuses on the fundamentals that contribute to improving the quality of the dancing when applied to all elements of material. They are inspiring on every level. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to study in Connecticut with this extraordinary couple.
These Tango Seminars are designed to help you increase the quality of your dancing and the dynamic and enjoyment of the dance with your partner. Work on using a clean embrace and axis to support salon elements and explore linear and circular elements; and using technical aspects to express the music and style of the orchestras.
The material will develop throughout the 2 days, so each class will benefit from understanding the previous class.
